According to the website coasttocoast.com, "Art Bell , the radio personality known for his spontaneous and compelling conversations about all things unexplained, will replace Barbara Simpson as weekend host of Coast to Coast AM – the program he made famous. He will broadcast live from 1-5 a.m. ET Saturdays and Sundays with a refeed from 5-9 a.m. ET from his home studio in Pahrump, Nev., beginning Sept. 20." Well, there you go. Link
Posted by johnford at September 17, 2003 07:42 AMwhere did barbara simpson go? we loved her.
Posted by: stan long on October 9, 2003 10:45 AMYeah, we LOVED Barbara Simpson. She started each show reading the weather, then proceeded with comments about the liberal news media and how anyone audacious enough to ask the government for information about anything was unpatriotic. You just don't hear that anywhere else on the radio.
I'll never forget the time she said, "George Bush knows a lot more than we do." Scary thought.
So off Barbara goes to the heap of washed out right wing paranoids, to be forgotten within days.
Where is she? Who cares?
Maybe she moved to a one room dirt floor cabin in the foothills of Montana to read technical manuals written in German and ruminate over government storm troopers taking away our guns in anticipation of the New World Order.
Maybe she joined a fundamentalist sect which concentrates on eliminating the statanic influence of jews and muslims in America (our god is better than your god).
Maybe she's building bombs in her basement for the Irish Republican Army. (Funny how those Catholic guys were okay and posed no threat but the Muslims are evil to the core. Freedom Fighters, those Micks, not terrorists.)
Either way, you'll need to find your Two Minutes Hate elsewhere because the program is back to normal with a host that actually uses his brain.
Posted by: John Zwolanek on October 25, 2003 9:46 AMOkay, she was boring but you can not compare her to Art Bell or George that is not being fair very few are pro like them. I listen to coast to coast every night on my way home and because of it I love every minute of my long trip. Thank You coast to coast. Sylviane
Posted by: sylviane on October 27, 2003 11:07 PMArt Bell is a psycotic wind bag. He interrupts
the guests and is a complete dolt. He is either
falling off his porch, glueing his mouth shut ( a
good move ) or leaveing and never coming back;
so leave already. Please bring back Babra and send
Bell the boob back to Frump or werever he parks his U.F.O..

Is Art Bell still doing the show on weekends? Have not been able to hear his program since we moved to Bowling Green, Kentucky. Maybe its because he starts sooo late. Also, what happened to Dreamland? Can this show still be heard?
Posted by: Ange on February 8, 2004 5:22 PMwhy are no longer able to get a sonopsys of last nights program without subscribing for a six month subscription???
Posted by: DAVID CAIRNS on February 9, 2004 8:29 PMHello there! I have never heard the radio program but am trying to find it! Is it on a Sirius Satellite Radio station? Hopefully!
Posted by: Lee Hansen on February 20, 2004 11:21 PMThis out-of-date posting on your site is fascinating from a sociological point of view. The range of intellect and emotions shown by those who comment about Art Bell and Barbara Simpson is typical of the spectrum of humanity. Personally, having heard Art and having met or known some of his guests, I feel he is a competent interviewer. He is not psychotic but exhibits so much interest in the people he interviews that he can't refrain from interrupting them when they speak. The show of the evening of June 12/04, in which George Noory replaced Art, was an absolutely astonishing and informative one. George's guests, Linda Moulton Howe and Dan Burisch talked about a predicted future for Earth in a way in which most people could understand. What they had to say is undoubtedly the most important information ever presented in the history of this planet.

Posted by: mike pollack on November 4, 2004 10:59 AMWell hello all! I like reading your comments. Although I have to say some are rather mean spirited. That's alright though. I have thick skin and can take it. Kevin you study hard in school and I can be heard on the weekends.
Bye
Art
I love Barbara, Art and George. Great radio commentators one and all. They each bring a freshness and geniune truth to the media.
Lets face it, it is very boring listening to cbs, nbc, and abc. The same ole news. They never bring anything contraversal..(sp) sorry! Anyway, I love listening to late night radio.
That is so cool.....if it really was Art that answered the post by Kevin.
I got hooked on Art about 6 years ago...George is definitely no Art Bell. I am so glad he is on at least on the weekend. If that was you Art, Merry Christmas to you and Ramona and thanks for those late nights.
Posted by: C. Dean on December 23, 2004 3:36 PMArt and George are both a pleasure to
share the night with. Thanks a bunch
from the Great White North.
I have been listening to Coast to Coast for a few years now. I love it. I do enjoy Art Bell a lot. Since you are not on much I also listen to George. I love the ghost stories and the unexplained things. My ear strains to hear my faded radio signals during the night. I need an antenna for A.M. Please keep up the good entertainment. Coming to you from small town Wisconsin.
Posted by: Darlene on February 15, 2005 11:10 PMBarbara had her own radio program down in California, LA, or San Fran, during the week, so she is back doing her own show.
Did you see Art and Ramona on Peter Jenning's ABC Report: "UFOs, Seeing Is Believing."? Mysterious. What did they see?
It would be cool, I think, to meet an alien, but not to get operated on by one of them.
Hi,
I wish Art Bell could be saved and KNOW where he will spend eternity
Sincerely Sarah
Hi Art Bell!
I LOVE your show and have been listening to it for three years now, ever since I was 11 years old. Currently, I'm in my freshman year at highschool but I still stay up late to listen!
Barbara was great even though she still didn't have quite the spark with interveiwing as you or George(who is awesome too) do when you interveiw guests or take calls. However, compared to other people filling in for you and George that sometimes come on now, she was the best. I really felt that she did have her own special way as a part of Coast To Coast AM. and I always remember how she would end her program with saying,"Be careful what you pray for, because you might get it!" But hey, everyone has to leave this show sometime and I'm VERY happy that your back now on the weekends!!!
Art, I even think your bumper music is wonderful and I can't tell you how many times I have found out the names and artists of those songs you play so I can download and listen to them whenever I want. And oh yes, I find it funny the way in which you have a knack for getting to the bottom of things with a guest. Also, it was hilarious whenever that caller who said he was J.C. would call in and ramble on about how you and your show is against God and whatever else he said...LOL..
Finally, I just want to say thankyou Art Bell and everyone else with Coast To Coast for giving me many wonderful nights which I will never forget!!! I wish you the best.....:)
I spent 15 years in priosn listening to Art' show evey night. He helpe me thru a lot of hard times. When he left I had lost a friend. Now I am free and doing well hope Art is too. George does a great job, but there is only one Art Bell. I learned from Art, people will be people. We are all more alike then we want to admit and false information is mind control. My country needs the truth and C to C gives it to us. Thanks...

Posted by: BJ Thomas on April 2, 2005 1:29 PM I still hear COAST TO COAST AM during the week with George Noory & Art Bell hosting on the weekends. The show is still great & I miss Barbara Simpson !!
I too got a great kick out of the caller named J C who would call and tell Art that he and his listeners are all going to boil in vats of raw sewage forever. J C sounds like some took Ross Perot's voice and blended it with someone on speed. He is great fun to hear call in & I wish he would call in one night soon again. Hopefully, Mr Noory is not screening him out because he adds to the night time fun , I think....

JC is a devout man, ART is THE DEVIL'S MOUTHPIECE, as JC so cerectly put it!!
Posted by: Charles on April 20, 2005 4:20 AMYou program with the Doctor touched some spots in my life. Have you ever watched a person come back from insanity and find a life worth living only to find out they are about to leave the earth for good soon.
It is a cold world for them. The Iles's of Mira Ceash is a look at a world from a wealthy persons fear of the unknown. We all question our living here and it's reasons.
So when we go it can not be as bad as the things we see here.
Perhaps we will be asked to suggest how to improve life for the future after our death.
I sure have some good ideas for who ever is running this place. Yet I have made only one generation look at our world from my eyes. I did not do a good job of that in some of my leavings.
But do we really ever know how we changed things while we were here?
Good luck in your world. See you in mine some day.
The Government Is After Me.....
